Capture
Ingrid Capture
Capture everything. Discover more. Monetise fast.
Ingrid Capture is a flexible and scalable multichannel video ingest solution for professional broadcast, distribution and production environments. Built to manage high volumes of incoming media from a wide variety of sources, it enables distributed, simultaneous ingest across multiple locations or departments — and it supports live feeds and remote contribution, which is why it suits news, sports and production facilities that need agility and reliability in the same system.

Not just acquisition — the start of the workflow
Ingrid initiates automatic content classification, AI-driven metadata enrichment and intelligent routing to the appropriate production islands. Content enters the ecosystem already enriched, categorised and correctly directed.
Centralised control, decentralised nodes
Real-time monitoring, metadata tagging, quality control and automatic file movement into the MAM — across ingest nodes that can sit in different buildings, cities or clouds.
Hardware independent, by design
A fully software-based pipeline on any enterprise-class server, managing both NAS and SAN. Configurations can be sized to maximise efficiency and minimise CO₂ at the same time.
Capabilities
What Ingrid Capture actually does
Eight channels per node, and none of them have to match
Each node supports up to eight independent channels at once — different frame rates, different scan types, different resolutions. Every channel can simultaneously write to multiple destinations: a local storage cache, several external NAS systems and cloud storage, so the disaster-recovery copy is made at the same instant as the working copy.
Nodes are deployed across locations or departments and driven from one central dashboard, which gives operators full visibility and control of every ingest activity in the plant.
Metadata while it is still recording
In broadcast and post-production, large volumes of video are ingested daily, often without detailed knowledge of what each file contains. AI plug-ins analyse content during ingest and generate the description for you: speech-to-text, face recognition, object detection and scene segmentation produce tags, descriptions and classifications automatically.
That turns previously unstructured video into searchable, actionable assets — which is what improves content discovery, editorial speed and archive monetisation later on. Proxy generation and manual metadata entry run in parallel, so material is reviewable before the record has finished.

Ingest you can schedule and forget
InGrid Scheduler provides comprehensive web-based scheduling for ingest across unlimited channels. Its resilient interface covers rapid crash recording and emergency backup node planning, with daily, weekly or monthly schedules and full control over one-time or recurring records.
Automation of the routine work — naming, tagging, QC, file movement — is where the operator hours go back into the day, and where human error stops entering the archive.
Multiple formats from one pass
Ingrid Capture can generate several formats simultaneously during ingest — a high-resolution master, a proxy and a delivery file from the same source. Anything else can be converted after the fact through the integrated transcoding engine in MediaHive or Synaxis, so no format requirement forces a re-ingest.
Post-production and archive, handled
Integration with major NLE suites — Premiere, EDIUS and DaVinci Resolve — including unmanaged storage and growing files, so an editor can open material that is still being written. Accelerated file transfer through trusted third-party solutions keeps long-distance ingest fast and reliable.
For the long term: Amazon FSx, a wide range of cloud and local storage, and digital tape library systems.
Built to be integrated, not to be an island
A microservices architecture means you scale by adding what you actually need — ingest nodes, transcoding capacity, QC functions — rather than replacing the platform. A full-stack API keeps orchestrators, third-party MAMs and in-house tooling as first-class citizens.
Failover and redundancy options keep ingest running through hardware or network trouble, and logging with audit trails covers the compliance side.
