Solution · InGrid Studio

Live sports for rights holders & organisers

For rights holders, leagues and organising bodies the objective has changed. It is no longer about broadcasting a single world feed — it is about internalising and capturing the entirety of the venue's media footprint.

Modern sports media ecosystems operate under immense commercial pressure to monetise the live event window across multiple platforms simultaneously. Every ISO camera angle, multi-language audio track and telemetry data feed is now an asset worth owning.

InGrid Studio serves as the core of this modern sports content factory. Consolidating high-density multi-channel ingest, real-time edit-while-ingest and immediate play-while-ingest into a single unified platform, it optimises the pipeline between the live field of play and the global fan screen — turning live action into valuable digital assets for linear TV, OTT and social media.

Deployment

Infrastructure & system deployment

Agile, high-density infrastructure that operates flawlessly under the physical constraints of a stadium compound or a centralised REMI hub.

Density and signal bridging

High-density node efficiency

Up to 8 Full HD channels or 4 Ultra HD (4K) channels on a single compact COTS server node — because in an OB van or a centralised PCR, space is at a premium.

Hybrid signal bridging

As venues transition from baseband to IP, InGrid Studio acts as a native gateway: capturing, synchronising and routing standard SDI (3G/12G) alongside SMPTE ST 2110, NDI and low-latency SRT transport lines simultaneously.

Recording integrity

Bulletproof storage fail-safes

Live sports events cannot be repeated. Asynchronous writing paired with zero-frame-drop technology dynamically buffers media if local high-speed SAN or NAS arrays fluctuate during heavy multi-cam capture.

Frame-accurate gang recording

The web-based InGrid Scheduler orchestrates synchronised group recordings so that all individual files share a unified timecode reference — LTC, VITC or PTP — for perfect alignment in multi-camera editing.

Core workflow

During the match

InGrid Studio operates as a high-fidelity capture engine feeding the immediate requirements of live broadcasting and media management.

Simultaneous PGM & ISO capture

Records the dirty programme feed — with local graphics and advertising triggers — for compliance and instant replay, while concurrently capturing the clean programme and critical ISO angles such as tactical high-cam, goal-line cameras and referee feeds.

Complex multi-audio mapping

Up to 16 discrete channels of audio per video stream, isolating localised commentary, international ambient crowd tracks, referee microphones and team radio onto independent, perfectly synced tracks within the master wrapper. Dante transport extends the mapping to further pure-audio sources.

Play-while-ingest (chase playback)

A recording file can be read and broadcast while it is actively being written. For linear networks requiring delayed broadcasts — west-coast time shifts, for example — playout can air the file from any point behind the live record head.

In-stadium venue feeds

The platform acts as a bidirectional source, feeding recorded clips, slow-motion highlights or sponsor loops directly onto giant stadium LED screens and video walls with zero perceived latency.

Repurposing

Multi-screen repurposing & monetisation

The economic value of sports content peaks the moment a play occurs. InGrid Studio bridges the gap between stadium action and digital exploitation.

Rapid digital, OTT & social feeding

Real-time proxy generation

While writing high-bitrate broadcast masters — ProRes, XAVC, DNxHD — to core storage, InGrid Studio simultaneously encodes lightweight, web-optimised H.264/H.265 proxies.

Web-based live clipping

Digital content creators access InGrid Studio from any browser globally, view the growing proxy file, mark precise in and out points, and export a major play or goal to TikTok, YouTube Shorts or X within seconds of the live event.

NLE chasing clips

Craft editors open the growing master file inside Adobe Premiere Pro or Avid Media Composer while the match is still underway, generating half-time highlight packages, tactical analysis and post-match summaries with zero rendering downtime.

Rich asset archiving & monetisation

Automated metadata ingestion

Feeds are tagged on the fly with critical structural data — match ID, team names, timestamps.

Direct MAM integration

Completed matches and ISO angles pass seamlessly into the Tecla MAM, where AI-driven speech-to-text and optical character recognition index jersey numbers, sponsor logos and commentator keywords — making an entire season instantly searchable for future licensing and syndication.

Who buys this

Four markets, four reasons

International & national leagues and federations

Who they are

Tier-1 and tier-2 organising bodies — football, basketball, motorsport, volleyball — that own the primary media rights to their championships.

Why they implement it

To internalise their production pipelines and bypass total reliance on third-party host broadcasters.

InGrid Studio value

By capturing every ISO angle and the clean PGM feed with unified timecodes, they build an exhaustive, high-fidelity media library ready for officiating reviews, data monetisation and future localised syndication.

Host broadcasters & sports production agencies

Who they are

Technical production entities contracted to deliver the official global world feed from stadium compounds using heavy OB van fleets or centralised REMI hubs.

Why they implement it

To minimise hardware overhead in mobile trucks and rack rooms by packing up to 8 channels per node.

InGrid Studio value

Hybrid architecture bridges legacy baseband SDI with modern IP — SMPTE ST 2110, NDI, SRT — while the asynchronous writing engine safeguards live action from frame drops under high-temperature, high-pressure conditions.

OTT sports platforms & DTC streaming networks

Who they are

Premium streaming applications owned by clubs or sports networks, delivering live events, alternative viewing feeds and on-demand content directly to fans.

Why they implement it

To remove linear viewing constraints for their subscribers.

InGrid Studio value

Play-while-ingest gives late-arriving subscribers an instant “watch from the beginning” experience, accessing the active growing file while the live record engine continues to capture the rest of the match uninterrupted.

Sports content hubs & social editorial teams

Who they are

Fast-paced digital newsrooms focused on micro-content creation, real-time fan engagement and viral social distribution.

Why they implement it

They rely entirely on edit-while-ingest and proxy pipelines.

InGrid Studio value

Globally distributed digital teams do not wait for a match to finish or download massive broadcast masters — they clip the real-time growing proxies through the MAM web portal, pushing highlights to social seconds after the play happens on the field.
