Production MAM, built for what's next

Tecla System's next-generation Media Asset Management platform

Synaxis is built for production and supply chain teams to Capture, Discover, and Monetise their content. Every asset event, from ingest and assessment to publish, flows through a real-time backbone that keeps your teams, your AI services, and your workflows perfectly in sync. Deploy it on-premises, in your own cloud, or anywhere in between — the same platform, the same experience, wherever your operation runs.

Why Synaxis

Most MAM systems were built for a slower era

Media organizations don't just store content anymore — they need to find it, enrich it, move it and monetize it in real time, across more platforms and formats than ever. Most MAM systems were built for a slower era and have had features bolted on ever since.

Synaxis was designed from a blank sheet for how media teams actually work today: journalists, producers, archivists and content services who need instant search, reliable automation, and content that's ready the moment it lands.

How it works

Six things Synaxis does differently

01

Deployment

Built for any environment

Synaxis runs the same way everywhere — on-premises, on a private cloud, on any major public cloud provider, or across a hybrid mix of all three. There's no dependency on any single infrastructure vendor. DevOps by design puts you in control: deploy updates on your own schedule, not someone else's.

Every service scales independently, so you pay for and provision only what your operation needs, from a single-department deployment up to an enterprise-wide rollout.

02

Architecture

Real-time by design

Where most systems poll for changes on a schedule, Synaxis reacts the instant something happens, thanks to its event-driven architecture. The moment a clip is ingested, metadata changes, or a workflow completes, that event is published across the platform in real time — triggering AI enrichment, updating search, and notifying every connected system simultaneously, with nothing lost if a service is briefly unavailable.

It's the same event-streaming approach trusted by Netflix and LinkedIn to handle their most demanding, always-on workloads — built into the core of Synaxis.

03

Search

Search that understands content

Synaxis combines classic keyword search with natural-language, AI-powered search in a single query — so your team can describe what they're looking for in plain language and get back the exact scene, clip, or moment, down to the frame.

Every asset can be automatically enriched at ingest with transcripts, object and face recognition, and descriptive metadata, so content is searchable the moment it arrives, not reliant on manual logging.

The Synaxis media library: domain and media-type filters with workspace folders on the left, and a grid of video, image and multi-camera assets with automatically generated proxies

One search box over everything. Filters, saved queries and workspaces narrow the same index that hybrid search reads.

04

Workflow

Workflow, your way

Complex production workflows — ingest pipelines, enrichment, editorial approval chains, publishing — are designed visually with a no-code workflow builder, so your operations team can build and adjust workflows without waiting on developers.

Underneath, every workflow runs on a durable execution engine that survives infrastructure failures automatically: if a server goes down mid-job, work resumes exactly where it left off, with nothing lost and no manual intervention required.

05

AI

AI on your terms

Synaxis doesn't lock you into one AI vendor. It's designed to integrate, govern and operate whichever AI services your organization chooses — face and speaker recognition, transcription, translation, automated highlights, and more — with full audit trails and access controls for every AI operation.

Core AI services can run as on-premises models or as cloud-native services: with on-premises AI, your content never leaves your infrastructure, though you can optionally send metadata about that content to the cloud for further enrichment. As new AI capabilities emerge, Synaxis can adopt them without re-architecting the platform, so you're never stuck with today's AI choices.

The AI provider is chosen per job, not per system. The same asset can go to a different engine as the market moves.

06

Security

Enterprise-grade security

Every user's access is independently governed by both role (what they can do) and content clearance (what they can see) — so a user can never retrieve, view, or even search for an asset they aren't cleared to access.

Synaxis integrates directly with your existing corporate identity provider for single sign-on, and every credential and encryption key is centrally managed and automatically rotated, never stored in application code or configuration.

MAM and DAM

Two interfaces, one system underneath

MAM and DAM are not two products here. They are the same platform wearing two faces, because the person who runs the pipeline and the person who tells the story do not want the same screen. Both faces are shaped by how a broadcast operation actually works, not by a generic asset-management template.

MAM — the technical face

  • Engineers, media managers, operationsPeople who are accountable for the pipeline, not for the edition.
  • Shows the machineryIngest pipelines, transcode and QC state, storage tiers, rights, delivery targets.
  • Scales with the workflowFrom a single watch folder to an approval chain that crosses departments and sites.

DAM — the editorial face

  • Journalists, producers, social and content teamsPeople who are accountable for the story, and who should never see a storage tier.
  • One way in to everythingVideo, images, graphics and data in a single place, organised by event and subject rather than by folder.
  • Whatever the story becomesA television package, a web article, a vertical reel — the same source material, cut for the destination.
Start where you are. Grow without replatforming. An operation that needs a watch folder today and a story-centric newsroom in three years does not have to buy the second one now, or replace the first one later. The complexity is already in the platform; how much of it you switch on, and when, is your decision. That is the difference between a purchase and an investment.

AI in practice

Fifteen workflows where AI actually pays for itself

Not a capability list — fifteen documented scenarios across content intelligence, production efficiency, rights and compliance, and accessibility. Each one names the persona, the traditional problem, what the AI does, and the measurable outcome.

Read the AI workflow scenarios
  • Content intelligence — frame extraction on quality and expression, automated highlight reels, genre classification, deep archive indexing
  • Production efficiency — AI-assisted live clipping for REMI, OTT thumbnails and metadata, syndication packaging, smart re-framing
  • Rights & compliance — fingerprint segmentation, forensic watermarking and piracy detection, ad verification, QC at ingest, live censoring
  • Accessibility & localisation — automatic dubbing with voice cloning, subtitling and audio description

Built on

The technologies behind the claims

Open, widely adopted components at every layer — which is what makes "no vendor lock-in" something a buyer's architect can verify.

Platform

Event streaming, durable orchestration, compute and search.

  • Apache Kafka
  • Temporal.io
  • Kubernetes + Rancher
  • Elasticsearch
  • Keycloak + HashiCorp Vault

AI & media services

Orchestrated by the Synaxis AI Business Service — and interchangeable.

  • NeoData (Neovid)
  • Gyrus AI
  • Aiconix
  • Magnifi
  • AI-Media
  • Telestream

Because the AI layer is abstracted, these services can be changed or extended without modifying the platform.
